caods are pleased to announce their next show ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ directed by Ray Jeffery with additional choreography from Becs Dixon.
Based on the 1988 classic film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ follows a pair of smooth-talking con artists, Lawrence Jameson and Freddy Benson, as they swindle wealthy women out of their riches around the glamorous resorts of the French Riviera. But soon Lawrence realises the town isn’t big enough for the both of them. The two go head-to-head in the con of their lives, pulling out all the stops in a bid for $50,000 from the millionaire heiress Christine Colgate – not to mention her affections!
Sophisticated and suave with a good dash of mischief, this hysterical musical comedy features a delightfully jazzy score by David Yazbek (The Full Monty) with songs such as ‘Give Them What They Want’ and was nominated for a staggering 11 Tony Awards. ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ recently became one of the West End’s favourite musical comedies and is sure to keep you laughing and guessing all the way to the end!
We were on BBC Essex this week as well. If you didn’t catch us visit here and skip to 3 hours 19 minutes. Thanks for having us Tony! We are also flyering at Chelmsford Train Station every evening from 12-16 February – come and say hello!
