Here is the official fantastic news that we have all been waiting to hear that the Meteor Way site and the HQ has been removed from Chelmsford City Council’s Housing Development plans! On behalf of both Young Gen and CAODS, thank you to everyone who had anything to do with the campaign. Information is included with the agenda for the Council Committee meeting on Thursday.

Council Response / Action
This proposed allocation has been removed from the Local Plan.
This is due to new information relating to uncertainty that a key part of the land will become available within the Plan period; and the uncertainty of being able to relocate important community users to suitable alternative premises.
This is amazing news and we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the HQ will be left alone at least for the immediate future.
