Poor street poet Hajj manages to use his brains and a certain amount of luck to rise through the ranks and eventually be crowned as Emir. When the Caliph falls in love with Hajj’s beautiful daughter, Marsinah, rather than a wealthy foreign princess the Wazir of Baghdad must use Hajj’s wits to sort out the situation but keep the involvement of Marsinah a secret. With a series of adventures reminiscent of Arabian Nights will love and kismet produce a happy ending?
