Orphaned Patrick has been sent from his home of Des Moines to his live with his aunt in New York City. But rather than a grey-haired old lady he finds an eccentric, charismatic, party-going Mame who is out to shock society and her family. When her flamboyant life comes to an abrupt end with the stock market crash will she be able to find he rway back to her unconventional life?
