Miss Hook of Holland

This was caods first foray into musical comedy with Miss Hook Holland, which opened in London in 1907 and enjoyed a run on Broadway. Mr Hook is a widow looking after his daughter, little Sally. Ludwig Schanpps, the foreman of Mr Hook’s factory, tells him that Sally has a remarkable eye for business and is a fantastic inventor. With Mr Hook’s factory thriving and a fortune in the bank the secret recipe is stolen and sold to dashing officer Adrian Papp, who is in love with Sally but Sally prefers van Vuyt. With a plan to win Sally by finding the “lost” recipe which suitor will triumph?
